Germany's Blitzerwoche Highlights Traffic Fines and New Speed‑Camera Alerts

From 3 to 9 August Germany observes "Blitzerwoche", a period of intensified radar speed checks. Drivers can be penalised not only for exceeding speed limits but also for driving below the minimum allowed speed. At the same time, the consumer‑tech company OOONO has reduced prices on its Co‑Driver devices during the blitz‑marathon. The devices connect to a smartphone and use a community‑sourced database to warn users of stationary and mobile speed cameras, traffic lights, congestion and hazards in more than 80 countries. German regulations limit the use of such warning systems while driving, and OOONO advises users to respect those restrictions. The discounts are offered through retailers such as Amazon and Müller, with the Co‑Driver NO1 and NO2 Plus models priced well below their list prices.
