Siemens Energy posts strong Q3 profit, Gamesa wind unit turns profitable FAST-MOVING

Siemens Energy reported a sharp rise in third‑quarter 2026 earnings. Net profit after tax reached about €1.2 billion, roughly 70 % higher than a year earlier, while revenue grew 18.5 % to €11.4 billion on a comparable basis. Order intake increased 8.5 % to €17.9 billion, driven by record demand for gas turbines and grid technology as data‑center, AI and broader electrification projects expand.

The wind‑turbine subsidiary Siemens Gamesa posted its first operating profit since 2022, reporting a gain of €75 million (other reports cite €56 million) after a loss of €425 million the previous year. The turnaround is attributed to higher productivity and cost efficiency. However, Gamesa’s order backlog fell sharply to €1.05 billion in the quarter, down from €4.89 billion a year earlier.

CEO Christian Bruch reaffirmed the company’s FY‑2026 outlook, targeting full‑year net income of around €4 billion, a profit margin before special items of 10‑12 % and revenue growth of 14‑16 % year‑on‑year.
