Validato expands background‑screening platform for German IT firms and law offices

Validato, a global background‑screening and human‑risk‑management platform, now targets IT service providers, law firms and cloud providers that work with public authorities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The solution covers more than 200 countries, is ISO‑27001 certified and GDPR‑compliant, and offers up to 18 configurable check modules, including criminal‑record checks, identity verification, qualification verification, sanctions and politically‑exposed‑person screening, as well as recurring in‑employment and external‑contractor screenings.

Regulatory drivers such as the EU NIS2 directive, national KRITIS rules and the BSI C5 standard for cloud providers require documented, repeatable personnel‑risk checks across the supply chain. Validato’s platform automates these checks, integrates into onboarding workflows and provides audit‑ready documentation for procurement and compliance officers.

By centralising verification of employees, subcontractors and freelancers, the service aims to close compliance gaps for organisations handling sensitive data and critical‑infrastructure access.
