Germany's Hesse and Saxony host dozens of weekend festivals and concerts

In the Hesse village of Odensachsen, the Haune‑Rock Festival will draw around 3,000 visitors for two days of live music, featuring acts such as Royal Republic, Madsen and The Livelines. Additional free events in the region include the Rennsteigfest in Eisenach, a Sundowner gathering in Haimbachtal and a museum festival in Hünfeld.

Across the state of Saxony, a packed program of weekend activities is highlighted, from a Silent Disco at Leipzig’s Felsenkeller and the Christopher Street Day parade in Leipzig’s city centre, to Dresden’s Night Skating in the Elbepark and a Summer Streetfestival at Club Velvet. Other offers include an Ice‑Cream Open‑Air party in Chemnitz, a Thalklang Festival and a Techno‑and‑Paint night in Chemnitz’s Villa Mocc.
