Germany's luxury hotels appoint new general managers

Ritter von Kempski Private Hotels & Resorts announced that Bryan Johnston will assume the role of General Manager on 16 June 2026. Johnston brings extensive experience from upscale hospitality, having risen through the ranks at Althoff Hotel Fürstenhof Celle and most recently serving as managing director of Gutshaus Stolpe.

The Bristol Berlin, now part of IHG's Vignette Collection, named Mareke Watson as its General Manager in May 2026. Watson, a 37‑year‑old from East Frisia, previously led the Voco hotel in The Hague and has held senior positions at Intercontinental Berlin and Regent Hotel. She will oversee the hotel's re‑positioning under the Vignette luxury brand ahead of its 75th anniversary.
