Germany's Museum Night Features Interactive Crime Exhibits and Public Voting

Berlin's annual "Lange Nacht der Museen" turns the city into a stage for crime‑themed interactive experiences. Visitors can solve a historic escape case at the Museum for Communication, hunt for Hollywood clues at the Samurai Museum, and explore secret Stasi archives, among other true‑crime and puzzle activities.

In Gera, the Museum für Angewandte Kunst invites the public to choose which depot objects will be displayed during the museum night on 22 August 2026. Voting panels placed in the museum foyer, a local cinema and the city library allow visitors to select three items each, with the most‑popular pieces featured in the evening event "Das Ding vom Dach" at 17:30.

Both events are part of Germany's nationwide museum night celebrations, offering interactive exhibitions and community participation across different cities.
