Germany’s new ambassador presents credentials to Zelenskyy in Kyiv

The new German Ambassador to Ukraine, Boris Ruge, has officially presented his credentials to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. During the meeting at Saint Sophia Cathedral, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Germany’s support, describing it as the largest in Europe. Discussions between the two leaders focused on expanding joint defense production.

Ruge, a former NATO official and security expert, succeeds Heiko Thoms. The diplomatic meeting underscores Germany’s role as a primary supporter of Ukraine in its ongoing defense against the Russian invasion.
