Germany's Sternsinger collect 47 million euros in 2026 Dreikönigssingen

The Sternsinger charity groups raised more than 47 million euros nationwide during the 2026 Dreikönigssingen campaign. In the Diocese of Eichstätt the fundraising reached a record 1.155 million euros, while the Diocese of Münster contributed over 3.9 million euros, the highest single‑diocese total. The smallest amount was recorded in the Diocese of Görlitz, with just under 68 000 euros.

The campaign involved 7 131 parishes, schools, kindergartens and other institutions across Germany, with 269 parishes participating in the Eichstätt effort. Since its inception in 1959, the Sternsinger initiative has collected more than 1.475 billion euros for projects supporting education, nutrition, health and child protection worldwide. Pfarrer Dirk Bingener, president of the Kindermissionswerk, highlighted the continued impact of the youth volunteers who travel door‑to‑door to raise funds and awareness against child labour.
