Germany's VDI and Städel Museum launch 2026 tech and AI festivals
The German Engineering Association (VDI) used its Hannover Messe pavilion in 2026 to promote the fair’s "Think tech forward" motto. Under the theme "From Thinking to Doing," VDI linked the exhibition to its "Future Germany 2050" initiative, stressing faster innovation cycles, the expansion of flexible energy systems and hydrogen, and the need to attract more women into engineering.
The Städel Museum in Frankfurt announced its AI Festival, "Imagining Futures in Noisy Times," scheduled for 4‑5 September 2026. The two‑day event will feature talks, workshops and exhibitions on how artificial intelligence reshapes society, art access and museum practice. Speakers such as Constanze Kurz, Ijoma Mangold and Hito Steyerl will discuss trustworthy AI, digital education equity and the broader cultural implications of AI.
Both initiatives aim to translate technological advances into practical applications and public dialogue within Germany.
