Germencik Municipality implements new public service initiatives

Germencik Municipality has launched several new initiatives aimed at improving public services and hygiene within the district. To ensure fair commerce and environmental cleanliness at local marketplaces, the municipality has introduced scale usage for consumer verification and is distributing trash bags to encourage waste management after market hours. Mayor Burak Zencirci noted that these practices have begun at the Germencik Thursday Market and are continuing at the Ortaklar Neighborhood Saturday Market.

In addition to marketplace improvements, the municipality is conducting extensive pest control operations to mitigate health risks. Specialized teams are performing regular nighttime spraying and targeted interventions at specific addresses to combat disease-carrying pests, including flies, fleas, ticks, and cockroaches. These efforts are part of a scheduled program intended to protect public health and improve the overall living standards for residents.
