Germiyan Sokağı visitors experience traditional tile art

Visitors to the historic Germiyan Sokağı in Kütahya are participating in hands-on tile art workshops. The street, which has a history of approximately 230 years, has become a point of interest for both locals and tourists wishing to experience traditional tile making.

Tile artist Tuncay Sakarlıoğlu stated that while the craft may appear simple to observers, it requires significant labor and mastery. He noted that by paying a fee to work with the clay, visitors gain a deeper respect for the difficulty of the profession and the effort required to create finished objects like vases.
