Germán Castel and Ana Heras win Aragon Trail Running Cup

Germán Castel Mallén of Asociación Deportiva Maestrazgo and Ana Heras Pérez of TRZ Chemik have been crowned winners of the 2026 Aragon Trail Running Cup. Their victory was secured during the sixth edition of the San Martín de Moncayo Trail held in Moncayo Natural Park.

The decisive race for these titles was the Hayedo de Peñarroya route, a 23 km course with 900 meters of accumulated elevation gain. The event saw over 250 participants competing through forested paths.

In the individual race results, Mikel García Escocia of Matarraña Team won the men's event, followed by Javier Cabestre Sahún and Germán Castel Mallén. In the women's category, Patricia Villanueva Baselga of Matarraña Team took first place, with Ana Heras Pérez in second and Amanda Martín Cebrián in third.

The competition also determined the Aragon Club Championships. Matarraña Team secured gold in both the men's and women's club categories. In the men's club standings, Matarraña Team took first, followed by A.D. Maestrazgo in second and TRZ Chemik in third. In the women's club standings, Matarraña Team again took gold, with TRZ Chemik and A.D. Maestrazgo taking second and third respectively.
