Gernika-Lumo youth group vows to defend center until relocation is guaranteed

The Egurre Gazte Asanbleda youth group in Gernika-Lumo has vowed to continue defending their youth center until a guaranteed alternative location is provided. While Mayor Jose Mari Gorroño stated the building would be vacated this month, representatives of the assembly accused the local government of distorting reality and failing to meet the community's needs.

The youth group expressed a willingness to move if a real alternative is presented, noting they are open to a proposal involving a space in Bekoibarra, provided the municipality secures ownership of that site. They have rejected previous suggestions, such as relocating to the Astra cultural center, and maintain that they will only vacate once the project's continuity is ensured.
