Gerresheimer completes sale of U.S. subsidiary Centor

Gerresheimer AG has successfully completed the sale of its U.S. subsidiary, Centor US Holding Inc., to funds advised by Apax Partners LLP. The transaction was finalized within two months of the initial agreement in July 2026. Centor represents approximately half of a combined EUR 1.5 billion enterprise value that also includes the sale of Gerresheimer’s global Primary Packaging Plastics (PPP) business, which is expected to close in the first half of 2027.

In its second-quarter financial results, Gerresheimer reported a recovery compared to the start of the fiscal year. Revenue rose to EUR 578 million, up EUR 55 million from the previous quarter, while adjusted EBITDA increased by EUR 35 million to approximately EUR 102 million. The company noted that its transformation program, 'gto', is beginning to show results.

While the company saw growth in the Containment & Delivery Systems segment, other areas like Primary Injectable Solutions experienced declines in revenue and profit. Gerresheimer intends to use the proceeds from these divestments to strengthen its financial position and reduce corporate debt.
