In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cardinale stated that he has been approached to explore the possibility of an acquisition. While he emphasized that discussions are currently in the early stages and no agreement or timeline has been established, he expressed a strong interest in the Middle East region.

A central component of the potential project involves Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently under contract with Al-Nassr until June 2027. Cardinale indicated a desire to meet with the Portuguese star to discuss his future ambitions and potential involvement with the club following his retirement from professional football.
