Gervon Dexter signs $78 million extension with Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a four-year, $78 million contract extension with defensive tackle Gervon Dexter. The deal includes $46.5 million in guaranteed money, averaging $19.5 million annually.

Dexter was acquired by the Falcons from the Chicago Bears earlier this season in a trade involving cornerback Clark Phillips III and a 2027 fifth-round pick. The extension follows Dexter’s performance in Atlanta, where he has maintained a high pressure rate.

Previously with the Bears, Dexter was a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. His career progression includes a rise in sack production and tackles, establishing him as a significant interior presence on the defensive line.
