Gerwyn Price advances to Czech Darts Open quarterfinals
Gerwyn Price has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Czech Darts Open in Prague following a 6-1 victory over Cameron Menzies. Despite the decisive scoreline, Price noted that the match was difficult to play due to a lack of rhythm from both competitors.
Price, known as ‘The Iceman’, recorded a three-dart average of approximately 90 to 91, which he acknowledged was below his peak performance level. Menzies reportedly apologized for his performance following the match, a gesture Price met with humor, stating that while he does not require apologies, he would prefer a higher level of play from his opponents.
Looking ahead, the former world champion expressed strong confidence in his ability to win the tournament, stating, “I am going to do it this weekend.”
