Gesine Cukrowski discusses separation from Michael Helfrich

Actress Gesine Cukrowski has discussed her separation from long-term partner Michael Helfrich during an appearance on the podcast ‘M wie Marlene’. After 25 years together, the couple decided to end their relationship amicably in 2025.

Cukrowski described the current period as a ‘journey of self-discovery’ for both individuals. She noted that while they have separated, they remain deeply connected, stating, ‘I am lucky that my husband and I are still connected. . . . He is still my life person.’

The actress expressed that the separation might not drive them apart but could potentially bring them closer together in the future, leaving the possibility of a reconciliation open. She explained that the decision to part ways was driven by a need to break away from long-standing habits and gain a new perspective on their relationship.
