Gesualdo Bufalino commemorated by special publication

The Kalós magazine has released a special monographic issue titled ‘Alfabeto di cenere’ to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the passing of Italian writer Gesualdo Bufalino. Curated by Giulia Cacciatore and Giovanna Di Marco, the 80-page volume features 76 contributions from writers, critics, and friends, reflecting the 76 years of the Comiso-born author's life.

Bufalino, known for works such as ‘Diceria dell’untore’ and ‘Le menzogne della notte’, was a prolific writer, poet, and aphorist. His literary background was deeply influenced by French literature, including the works of Baudelaire and Proust. He maintained close friendships with notable figures such as Leonardo Sciascia and Lucio Piccolo. The commemorative project was organized by the Bufalino Foundation and the Kalós publishing house.
