Bernardo Silva faces reduced role at Real Madrid under Mourinho

Bernardo Silva is experiencing a significant decline in playing time at Real Madrid under manager José Mourinho. After joining the club as a key free agent from Manchester City, the Portuguese midfielder has struggled to secure a starting role, accumulating minimal minutes in both La Liga and with the Portugal national team.

Reports indicate that Mourinho’s tactical decisions have favored players such as Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni in midfield, while Arda Güler has gained confidence in more advanced positions. Silva's lack of involvement is attributed to concerns regarding his physical condition, a point Mourinho noted during the preseason.

Simultaneously, Jude Bellingham’s performance has drawn scrutiny. While he has excelled with the England national team under Thomas Tuchel, critics suggest that Mourinho’s tactical structure at Real Madrid has not allowed the English midfielder to replicate his international offensive influence and creative freedom.
