Getafe misses Conference League seed while Györi ETO advances to playoff

Spanish side Getafe fell just 4.5 coefficient points short of being seeded in the UEFA Conference League, ending with 19,409 points and remaining unseeded for the playoff draw scheduled for 3 August. Being unseeded means Getafe will not avoid higher‑coefficient opponents and will play the first leg away, a disadvantage the club hopes to avoid as it prepares for its European campaign.

Hungarian club Györi ETO, coached by Mexican midfielder Efraín Juárez, progressed to the third qualifying round after a 7‑3 aggregate win over Luxembourg's FC Atert Bissen (6‑2 first leg, 1‑1 second leg). The victory moves the champions of Hungary into the Conference League playoff stage, where they could meet teams such as Brighton, Getafe, Atalanta, Monaco or Freiburg.

Both clubs now face upcoming draws that will determine their opponents for the decisive playoff ties in late August.
