Getafe offers Jadon Sancho contract with massive pay cut

Spanish club Getafe has submitted a formal contract proposal to free agent Jadon Sancho, offering a significant reduction in wages compared to his time at Manchester United. The offer reportedly totals approximately €400,000 (£335,000) through June, which equates to roughly €10,000 to €12,000 per week.

This represents a nearly 97 percent decrease from the approximately £250,000 weekly salary Sancho earned at Manchester United. The 26-year-old winger has been without a club since his contract with the English side expired at the end of last season, following loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa.

Sancho is reportedly attracted to the prospect of playing in La Liga to revitalize his career but intends to meet with Getafe manager José Bordalás before making a final decision. Getafe president Ángel Torres confirmed the club has made a final offer after months of pursuit, noting that while Sancho has interest from the Middle East, the club remains patient. If the move proceeds, the contract may face scrutiny from La Liga officials due to the extreme disparity in the player's earnings.
