Getnet announces ABASTUR 2026 participation and new Mexico CEO

Getnet, the payment solutions provider owned by Santander Group, has announced its participation as an exhibitor at ABASTUR 2026 in Mexico. The event, held at Centro Banamex from August 26 to 28, focuses on the food, beverage, and hospitality industries.

During the event, Getnet will present a session on digital payment trends for the HORECA (hotels, restaurants, and cafes) sector. The company aims to showcase its portfolio, including payment terminals, e-commerce, and reconciliation tools, to address industry challenges such as split payments and online reservations.

In a related strategic move, Santander has appointed Fernando Benito as the new CEO of Getnet Mexico. Benito, who previously served as CEO of Getnet Chile, succeeds Pablo Jiménez. This leadership change is intended to drive growth in the Mexican market, which currently ranks as the fourth largest market for Getnet in terms of payment volume.
