Getworks and Kagoya Japan to collaborate on containerized data centers and GPU infrastructure
Getworks and Kagoya Japan have announced a planned collaboration to develop data center businesses utilizing containerized data centers and GPU server infrastructure. The companies intend to sign a formal agreement in October to establish a system for the joint proposal, design, construction, and operation of projects.
The partnership aims to address the rising demand for GPU computing driven by generative AI and the increasing interest in regionally distributed data centers for business continuity and disaster recovery. By combining Kagoya Japan’s expertise in data center and cloud operations from its ‘Keihanna Lab’ with Getworks’ capabilities in designing and constructing containerized data centers and GPU infrastructure, the companies seek to provide scalable and rapid-deployment solutions.
Key objectives include expanding data center services beyond the Keihanna Lab through short-term containerized deployments, providing secure facilities that integrate high-level data processing with closed network connectivity, and expanding AI-related businesses through GPU server infrastructure. Following the agreement, the companies will begin joint proposals to domestic enterprises, local governments, and other operators in Japan.
