Getxo reports security incidents during Las Mercedes festivities

The Getxo City Council reported that the Las Mercedes festivities proceeded with “normalidad” (normality), despite an official balance sheet detailing several security incidents.

According to the municipal report, security forces intervened in six fights or disputes, addressed public order disturbances, and dealt with cases involving the possession of drugs and bladed weapons. The report also noted two arrests for offenses against authority and six complaints regarding violations of the Citizen Security Law.

Additionally, authorities seized approximately 500 liters of alcoholic beverages. Five minors required medical attention due to indisposition, and two establishments were reported for selling alcohol to minors, resulting in two adults being reported for supplying it.
