Geumcheon-gu and Myeongmun Foundation partner for welfare projects

Geumcheon-gu has signed an agreement with the Myeongmun Foundation to launch welfare support projects for 2026. This marks the third consecutive year that the foundation has sponsored welfare initiatives in the district.

The foundation will donate 27 million won through the Community Chest of Korea. These funds are designated for two primary purposes: providing IT learning devices to seven science and engineering university students facing financial difficulties, and distributing kimchi to 400 low-income residents as part of the district’s winter support program.

Geumcheon-gu officials stated they will continue to seek ways to strengthen public-private cooperation to ensure that such donations provide practical and efficient assistance to the community's vulnerable populations and youth.
