Geumcheon-gu to host forest live music performances

Geumcheon-gu will host the ‘Omi Ecological Park Forest Live’ series, featuring classical music and busking performances set within the natural environment of Omi Ecological Park. The event is part of a resident-participatory budget project titled ‘Cultural Walk in Nature, from Gamrocheon to Omi.’

The concert series will take place six times between October 23 and November 15 at the deck in front of the Geumcheon Garden Support Center. The program includes string quartet performances by the Seoul Neo Art Group on October 23 and 24, featuring conductor commentary to make classical music more accessible. Following this, the group Miwan-yechan will perform four busking sessions from November 8 to November 15.

District Mayor Choi Ki-chan stated that the initiative aims to provide residents with an opportunity to find relaxation in their daily lives by enjoying music and nature in a local park.
