Geumseong-myeon hosts intergenerational sports day

Geumseong-myeon in Uiseong-gun held the ‘Itda Project’ intergenerational sports day on the 7th at the Geumseong Senior Welfare Center. Organized by the Geumseong-myeon Community Security Council, the event aimed to strengthen community ties and foster understanding between different age groups.

Approximately 30 participants attended, including 15 seniors from the Geumseong Senior Welfare Center and 15 children from the Podonamu and Tapri local children's centers. The program featured recreation, indoor physical activities, and various cooperative games designed to encourage teamwork between the elderly and the youth.

The ‘Itda Project’ operates under the slogan ‘Connecting hearts, villages, and generations.’ It is funded by the ‘Together Happiness Fund,’ which is supported by donations and contributions from local residents to promote community spirit and social connection.
