Gevgelija to host fourth Taste the South festival

The fourth edition of the ‘Taste the South’ gastronomic and music festival will take place in Gevgelija from September 11 to 13. The event, organized by the Municipality of Gevgelija, aims to combine local gastronomy, cultural traditions, and performances by well-known Macedonian artists.

Over the three days, visitors can participate in culinary presentations, live food preparation, and tastings of regional specialties. The first day, September 11, focuses on ajvar, featuring demonstrations and tastings. The second day, September 12, is dedicated to figs and local products derived from them.

The musical program includes various performers such as Philip Stojanov, Bras Braders, Igor Dzambazov, and ensembles like KUD ‘Tanec’. The final day, September 13, offers a program for all generations, including performances by local music schools and the Bojmija Ensemble.
