Geyve Municipality hosts Children and Folk Dance Festival

Geyve Municipality organized the Children and Folk Dance Festival to preserve cultural values and pass them on to future generations. The event brought together folk dance teams from various regions of Anatolia.

The daytime festivities took place at Republic Square, featuring activities for children such as inflatable play groups, animations, and treats like cotton candy and ice cream. A highlight for children was the Pony Club organized by the Turkish Jockey Club, where they participated in horseback riding on a special course.

The evening program focused on cultural performances, including a mehter concert by the Iznik Mehter Band, rhythm shows, and traditional folk dances. Teams from different cities across Turkey showcased their regional music, costumes, and cultural traditions.
