GFF Elite League opens with wins for Slingerz FC and GDF FC

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League season has commenced with several key victories for top clubs.

Defending champions Slingerz FC secured a 1-0 win against the Guyana Police Force FC. The decisive goal was scored in the first half by Neron Barrow, marking his first competitive appearance in Guyana since transferring to Jamaica’s Waterhouse FC. Despite the win, observers noted the team's subdued performance.

In other matches, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) FC delivered a dominant 5-0 victory over Monedderlust FC, with goals from Malcolm Miggins, Stephen McDonald (two), Jeffrey Pererira, and Quancey Fraser. Den Amstel FC also earned three points by defeating Fruta Conquerors 2-1, following a late decisive strike by Cleavon Murray.
