Ghalibaf: Iran must pursue both defense and negotiation

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, addressed the parliament regarding the upcoming Sacred Defense Week and the anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq War. Ghalibaf stated that the nation must simultaneously engage in both defense and negotiation, emphasizing that the two are not mutually exclusive. He argued that Iran must fight with dignity and rationality while negotiating with authority at appropriate times.

Ghalibaf noted that modern defense has evolved beyond traditional geographic borders into a more fluid and deep-seated form of resistance. He asserted that the resilience shown by the Iranian people serves as a guarantee for national security and is contributing to a new regional and global order that could lead to economic and strategic openings. Furthermore, he highlighted the strategic importance of the upcoming school year, describing classrooms as a new front for national deterrence and resistance against enemy strategies.
