Ghana Ambassador protests US gun violence and racism

Ghana's Ambassador to the United States, Victor Smith, has formally lodged a protest with US authorities following the deaths of five Ghanaian nationals in America. Smith reported that most of these deaths were related to gun violence, including the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong in the Bronx, New York.

In addition to safety concerns, Ambassador Smith addressed the issue of racism in the United States. He cited the personal experience of his son, who has reportedly faced bullying in school due to his accent. Smith stated that such experiences reinforce his conviction that racism remains a significant issue, noting that such bullying can make children feel unwanted and lonely.
