Ghana and Nigeria Treasury Bill Auctions Attract Strong Demand

The Government of Ghana exceeded its Treasury bill target, receiving GH¢12.3 billion in bids and accepting GH¢11.5 billion, a 30.3 % subscription over the goal. Yields fell across the curve, with the 91‑day bill dropping to 5.76 % (down 11 basis points), the 182‑day to 7.68 % (down 0.1 bp) and the 364‑day to 12.96 % (down 3 bp).

The Central Bank of Nigeria, on behalf of the Debt Management Office, announced a N700 billion Treasury bill auction for July 29, 2026. The Dutch‑auction will offer N100 billion each of 91‑day and 182‑day bills and N500 billion of 364‑day bills, with results to be released the same day.
