Ghana’s Narcotics Control Commission intercepted an estimated five million tramadol tablets worth about GH¢100 million (≈US$9.6 million) at Kotoka International Airport, arresting three suspects linked to the shipment. The operation was intelligence‑led and the tablets, intended for domestic distribution, were secured as evidence while investigations continue into broader trafficking networks across West Africa.

In Sri Lanka, customs officers at Bandaranaike International Airport detained a foreign woman after discovering cocaine valued at roughly Rs 10 million during routine screening. She has been taken into custody and will appear before a magistrate as the investigation proceeds.

Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs uncovered 104 pieces of marijuana (about 549 g) concealed inside dates in a parcel from Thailand. A Sri Lankan national was arrested in connection with the shipment. Authorities highlighted the seizure as part of ongoing efforts to tighten customs monitoring and combat drug smuggling.
