Ghana and Uganda promote tourism at WTM London

Ghana and Uganda are utilizing the World Travel Market (WTM) London to promote their respective tourism sectors to international investors and travel professionals.

Ghana has launched the ‘Experience Ghana’ campaign, branded as #TheBlackStarExperience. Unveiled by Deputy Head of Mission Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, the initiative aims to showcase the nation’s cultural heritage, creative industries, and hospitality. The campaign seeks to position Ghana as a year-round destination by highlighting its history, arts, fashion, music, and eco-tourism, moving beyond traditional landmarks.

Uganda is focusing on sports tourism ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Led by State Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Susan Nakawuki Nsambu, the Ugandan delegation is working to convert the global football audience into long-term visitors. This effort follows recent marketing roadshows across the United Kingdom aimed at strengthening visibility and business connections for the country.
