Ghana Announces Major 2026 Entertainment Awards Lineups

The Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards (GAEA) unveiled its 2026 nominees, marking the ceremony’s seventh anniversary. The nominations were selected by a jury of industry veterans using six criteria, including talent, professionalism and impact. The awards were founded by Abena Ghana, who emphasized the role of recognition in shaping culture.

The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards launched its 2026 edition at Eden Gardens Hotel, introducing a new award category and fan‑reward programmes ahead of the event’s 15th anniversary. The ceremony featured performances by DJs such as DJ Wallpaper, DJ Juicy, Viq and DJ Onaapo. Awards Board Chairman Ahuma Bosco Ocansey highlighted the growing influence of DJs, while Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC and its Smirnoff brand reaffirmed support for Ghana’s nightlife and entertainment culture.
