Ghana Black Queens name squad for Olympic qualifiers
Ghana's Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has named a 24-woman squad for the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games qualification campaign. The team will face Mauritius in a two-legged second-round tie.
Notable inclusions in the squad are Mukarama Abdulai, who returns to the national team after a two-year absence due to persistent injuries, along with Rose Teye Baah, Diana Amoako, Helen Alormenu, and Nancy Amoh. Björkegren has also introduced two new players, Rabiatu Maltiti and Margaret Agyapomaa, to the senior side. The squad maintains continuity from the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with 17 players retained.
After receiving a bye in the opening round, Ghana will play the first leg of the tie on October 8. The return fixture is scheduled for October 13 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
