Ghana Chamber of Mines launches digital portal for mining sector

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has launched a new Member Management Portal as part of a broader digital transformation initiative to modernize the country’s extractive sector. Developed in partnership with Smart Innovations Ghana Limited (SIGL), the centralized digital platform is designed to improve service delivery, maximize operational efficiency, and enhance engagement with member companies.

Chief Executive Officer Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey stated that the transition aims to move beyond simply replacing manual processes with technology, focusing instead on becoming more responsive and valuable to members. The portal will allow companies to manage organizational data, administer authorized users, and access crucial industry information through a single, secure environment.

By consolidating membership management, the Chamber intends to reduce administrative bottlenecks and improve the accuracy of real-time data. This digital shift is expected to support more timely, evidence-based advocacy and communication with government bodies, regulators, and other industry stakeholders.
