Ghana Court Orders Extradition of Romance‑Fraud Accused Daniel Yusif to US

The Gbese District Court in Ghana ordered the extradition of Daniel Yusif, alleged co‑conspirator of Ghanaian romance‑fraud operator known as Abu Trica (Frederick Kumi), to the United States. U.S. prosecutors say Yusif helped run an international romance‑fraud and business‑email‑compromise scheme that defrauded victims of more than $8 million between 2016 and 2023. The court gave Yusif 15 days to challenge the committal order; if no appeal succeeds, he will be transferred to U.S. authorities for trial. Abu Trica himself is already facing extradition, and the case reflects ongoing cooperation between Ghanaian and U.S. law‑enforcement agencies to combat cross‑border cybercrime.
