Ghana Dompoase Highway Crash Kills Two, Injures Ten
A road collision occurred on Friday evening near Dompoase, on the Cape Coast–Takoradi highway in Ghana. An unidentified vehicle attempting a reckless overtaking maneuver forced a Toyota Hiace, carrying ten passengers, to swerve and strike a broken‑down truck parked on the side of the road. Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service rescued a victim trapped inside the Hiace. Two of the ten occupants later died, while the remaining eight sustained injuries, three of them in critical condition. All injured were taken to Elmina Polyclinic by the National Ambulance Service. Authorities have opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
