Ghana Education Service starts onboarding of newly recruited staff from August 7
The Ghana Education Service (GES) announced that successful applicants from its recent recruitment exercise will begin regional onboarding on Friday, August 7. The process, outlined by GES Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, includes document verification, completion of employment records and other administrative steps before recruits assume duties at schools and institutions. Applicants posted to distant regions are advised to contact their regional education offices in advance to confirm reporting procedures and required documents. Fenyi said the PR unit will support recruits through the onboarding period until they receive their first salary.
Separately, the Ghana Scholarships Authority (GSA) has started interviewing shortlisted candidates for its Local Tertiary Scholarship Scheme for the 2026/27 academic year. Interviews are being held at designated local assemblies nationwide, with applicants required to check online portals for schedules and bring necessary documents for physical verification. The GSA warned the public that the application process is free and cautioned against individuals demanding money for scholarship services, providing a hotline (0302 962 928) for fraud reports.
