Ghana Gas donates GH¢100,000 to Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital

The Ghana National Gas Company has donated GH¢100,000 to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi to support breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The donation is part of the company’s annual breast cancer awareness and support initiatives.

The funds will be split equally: GH¢50,000 is designated for biopsy procedures to help patients confirm suspected cases, while the remaining GH¢50,000 will provide personal protective equipment for healthcare workers and treatment support for patients.

Judith Adjoba Blay, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, stated that the initiative specifically targets the diagnostic stage, where financial constraints often prevent patients from completing necessary testing. A team from Ghana Gas will work with the hospital to monitor the utilization of the funds and measure the impact of the support.
