Ghana Judiciary thanks media for Supreme Court 150th anniversary coverage

The Judiciary of Ghana has expressed gratitude to various media organizations for their extensive coverage of the Supreme Court’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, Chairperson of the anniversary planning committee, led a delegation to thank the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for providing live broadcasts and streaming of key events at no cost to the Judiciary. The committee noted that the coverage helped open the work of the Judiciary to the public and enhanced understanding of the Supreme Court's role. GBC Director-General Prof. Amin Alhassan reaffirmed the broadcaster's commitment to serving state institutions.

Additionally, the Judiciary issued a letter of appreciation to the EIB Network for its role as a dependable partner. The network provided coverage for anniversary activities held in Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast between April and July 2026. The celebrations brought together stakeholders from the legal profession, government, and academia to commemorate the history and contributions of Ghana’s apex court.
