Ghana Minister Kwame Agbodza warns Big Push contracts not for sale

Roads and Highways Minister Kwame Agbodza cautioned Ghanaians that contracts under the government’s flagship Big Push infrastructure programme are not available for purchase. In a post on X he urged anyone approached by individuals claiming to sell or facilitate such contracts to report them immediately to the police.

The warning follows reports of fraudsters approaching contractors and members of the public, falsely claiming they can award Big Push road projects in exchange for money. Agbodza reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparent, legally‑based procurement for the programme, which aims to upgrade roads, bridges and other strategic infrastructure across the country.
