Ghana MPs Highlight Development Projects and Political Pressures in Tamale

Member of Parliament Seidu Alidu Mahama of Tamale Central inspected ongoing infrastructure works, including a new classroom block at Salaffiya Islamic School and road projects in Gumbihini and Mohiyabihi. He reaffirmed his commitment to improving education and transportation, urging contractors to meet timelines and calling on residents to support the initiatives.

Tamale North MP Alhassan Suhuyini spoke at the launch of the book *Newsroom Poverty*, explaining that he entered politics to escape mounting constituent demands and to use the platform to address poverty. He described the pressure of being expected to solve personal problems for voters and reflected on his unexpected electoral success, emphasizing the need for a broader conversation on political pressures and poverty.

Both MPs are focusing on development and the challenges of political expectations in Ghana's northern region.
