Ghana petroleum price floors adjusted for November

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has adjusted price floors for the first half of November, leading to divergent price trends for major fuel products in Ghana. Petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) price floors have decreased, with petrol dropping from GH¢16.09 to GH¢15.39 per litre and LPG falling from GH¢13.89 to GH¢13.73 per kilogram.

In contrast, the diesel price floor has risen from GH¢17.09 to GH¢17.41 per litre. While these adjustments suggest potential relief for petrol and LPG consumers, the final retail prices will depend on the margins and premiums applied by individual oil marketing companies.

The NPA noted that LPG prices are currently benefiting from a monthly tender programme that locks in import costs. This arrangement has shielded Ghanaian consumers from recent spikes in international LPG prices, as the current supply was secured at a lower rate before the global market rose.
