Ghana National Sports Authority RMPC launches new talent development initiative
The Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Committee (RMPC) of Ghana’s National Sports Authority has launched initiatives to create a commercially sustainable and inclusive sports system. Following its inauguration on 14 August 2026, the committee has begun consultations with media and sports federations, while developing partnership proposals for the banking and transport sectors.
A central component of the new agenda is the proposed Constituency Games, a competition pathway designed to identify talent at the community level and progress athletes through regional and national stages. To support this, the committee plans to establish a National Talent Bank to create a traceable system for athlete identification and development.
The committee has already secured its first in-kind contribution for grassroots programs from the Ghana–Anhui Chamber of Commerce, which provided 600 pairs of footwear, 1,520 T-shirts, and two motorcycles.
