Ghana Police arrest suspects in Kumasi robbery and motorcycle gang operations

The Ashanti Regional Police Command in Ghana has conducted operations resulting in multiple arrests related to organized crime in the Kumasi area.

In one operation, three suspected members of an outlaw motorcycle gang, identified as Sharif Mahmud, Abdallah Karim, and James Alena, were arrested in Suame. The group is accused of conducting illegal midnight motorcycle racing, taking control of public roads, and robbing unsuspecting passers-by in the Breman-Kronum-Suame enclave. Several other members reportedly escaped, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate intelligence-led operation, police arrested three Nigerian nationals, Aboy Promise, Favour Uwalaka, and Kingsley (alias KC), suspected of belonging to a syndicate targeting bank customers. The group allegedly monitored banking premises to track customers making large withdrawals and used master keys to break into unattended vehicles. Authorities recovered cash, mobile phones, a motorcycle, and a master key. A fourth suspect, Chinedu (alias Alhaji), remains at large.
