Ghana presents official charity gift to Miss Ghana 2026
The Diaspora Affairs Office at the Office of the President, in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has presented Miss Ghana 2026, Rumzia Sule, with the nation’s official charity auction gift. This presentation serves as an official send-off before Sule travels to Vietnam for the 75th Miss World Festival.
The gift is inspired by Ghana’s iconic Independence Arch, a symbol representing the country’s history as the first Sub-Saharan African nation to achieve independence, as well as freedom and resilience. The item will be featured in the Miss World Charity Auction, a tradition where participating countries present cultural artifacts to raise funds for the Miss World Organisation’s global humanitarian initiatives.
Kofi Okyere Darko, Director of Diaspora Affairs, and Gilbert Aggrey, Deputy CEO of the GTA, encouraged Sule to represent Ghana’s heritage and identity on the international stage. Sule expressed gratitude for the support, pledging to honor Ghanaian culture and traditions during the competition.
